Yes, this is true. So I just graduated from UCSC and was all geared up to move away to New York, I was getting good vibes all around from Americore, I was to be a teacher for inter-city youth all next year, making a modest living but acquiring excellent experience and actually helping people. The application was extensive, including multiple letters of recommendation, essays, transcripts, and even FBI finger printing. It was all turned in and I took the risk of declining my offered job as a camp counselor for underprivileged kids to make it happen. I just found out a couple days ago that I didn't get in and now I'm stuck without a job or ANYTHING!
I will continue to live at my parent's house indefinitely and I'm restarting my Jr. High comic book collection. I'll earn the money to buy comics by working the grave yard shift at someplace like UPS shipping boxes or something and then during the day I'll spend my money on Star Wars comics. I'll turn into a hermit by selling my truck and buying a new bike which I'll ride everywhere. As a recluse I will get really drunk everyday by myself, shots of 7.00 dollar hobo status vodka will become as essential to the morning routine as brushing my teeth, which I'll stop doing by the way. I'm letting myself go: no more showers/haircuts/deodorant. And at night I will sleep on my Darth Vader pillow case.
Does anyone out there play guitar? Anybody want to learn how to play? I have two acoustic guitars and I could be open to not only starting a "Flight of the Concords" style comic duo but also teaching you what little I know to make that happen.
Maybe I could just play video games competitively and make TONS of money through sponsorships, and you could train with me, yeah?
I need to get out of this funk
