So today I was riding my sister's bike to the bike church to finish tuning it up for her birthday present when I took a spill. I was going down Walnut Street hill right by DJ's Mini Mart when the coaster brake failed to engage. I had just begun to start the hill and so I thought that I would quickly try and jump off the bike, before I started going to fast, and run it to a stop,. I should have Ted Shredded it but hindsight is always 20/20, I made a spilt second decision. What I did know is that I didn't want to fly down Walnut without brakes, get cut off by a car and die. Unfortunately I must have underestimated just how fast I was going because I took a pretty hard tumble after jumping off the bike. The next thing I remember is blood dripping on my arm as paramedics cut my tee-shirt off and put me in C-Spine before taking me to Dominican Hospital. Apparently some lady saw me fall and called 911, I was found passed out on the sidewalk.

I crashed at around 2:45pm and left the ER at 7:30, not the way I wanted to spend my day off. I'll be fine, I've bounced back before. I'm wearing a helmet from now on though, no exceptions! Stitches come out in a week, woo hoo!

On the upside, God must still have a plan for me :)
